Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Luis Perez Jr., 26, of Fort Mohave, Monday (2/23) morning for theft and trafficking in stolen property, felonies. Investigations began January 7th, 2015, when deputies responded to a theft report at a residence in the 2400 block of Dakota Road. The reporting party said that his brother-in-law Jose Perez is currently incarcerated at the Mohave County Jail on theft charges when he was arrested in the middle of December. The reporting party, a 29-year-old male victim, said that today he located a pawn ticket where Perez had pawned his back and yellow power drill set. Deputies confirmed with the pawn shop personnel that Perez had pawned the item. Monday (2/23) morning deputies contacted inmate Perez at the Mohave County Jail. During conversations with Perez, he admitted to pawning the drill set and he said that he did not have permission to pawn the tools. Perez was arrested on the additional charges above.
