On October 20, 2015, at approximately 5:00 p.m., detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) served a drug-related search warrant at a residence in the 3800 Block of Texoma Drive. The search warrant was a result of detectives assisting the Mohave County Probation Department during a probation search of the residence. Upon entering the residence, several items of drug paraphernalia were observed.
Detectives located and seized approximately four grams of heroin, a firearm, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Arrested during the search warrant were 58-year-old Leonard Zielin, 28-year-old Charles Jackson-Thomas, and 26 year-old Erik Pupkowski, all residents of Lake Havasu City.
Zielin was arrested and charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misconduct involving weapons. Jackson-Thomas was charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pupkowski was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
At their initial appearances, Zielin and Jackson-Thomas were held without bond. Pupkowski was held on a $7,500 bond. All arrestees were transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
