Tucson police arrest three people and seize guns, drugs, funny money and printing presses after a months-long investigation into a “sophisticated” counterfeiting operation that began after bogus $100 bills started turning up at Tucson-area retailers.

Police Spokesman Dan Lucas says 19-year old Cody Anderson, 21-year old Joshua Blake and 34-year old Krista Blanchard were producing very good bills that could easily fool the untrained eye. Lucas notes that this is a rare bust as they occasionally will come into contact with counterfeit currency but almost never discover the actual equipment used to produce it. Lucas says trio faces a slew of charges, including forgery, counterfeiting and aggravated assault. You can learn more about how to spot bogus bucks online at www.knowyourmoney.gov
