2015 01-05 Bus VS Bicycle ~ O'Donohue (01) aJust before 9:00 PM, Golden Valley Firefighter – Paramedics treated an approximately 20 year old man who was riding his bicycle with a friend on east bound Hwy-68 at Mile Post 21 when he was struck by an eastbound tour bus.  The bus took about ½ mile to come to a complete stop.  GVFD paramedics treated the man on the scene for multiple injuries, none of which appeared to be life threatening at the time.  The man, from Japan, was on a cross-country ride from Los Angeles to New York City when the accident occurred.  Traffic on the highway was reduced to a single lane while DPS investigated the incident for about 1-hour. PHOTO: Paramedics; Captain Boyd Lewis and Engineer Kevin Gifford treat the bicyclist struck by the tour bus Monday night on Hwy-68
