doddA lengthy prison sentence was imposed December 18 for a Kingman man convicted in the death of a woman resulting from a high speed police pursuit. Robert Dodd, 43, was convicted at trial of second degree murder in the
April, 2014 death of Linda Chevalier, 65, Kingman. Dodd was also convicted of ten other charges including aggravated assault, endangerment, criminal damage and driving while under the influence. Prosecutor Jacob Cote said Dodd was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he refused to pull over during a police pursuit that ended when Dodd crashed into the vehicle Chevalier was driving. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Steve Conn ordered a 67 year prison term for Dodd. That will be served consecutive to another 15 year prison sentence imposed in a separate case while Dodd was awaiting trial for the fatal police pursuit.
