The Bullhead City Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident.
On Tuesday, November 8th at 10:50 a.m., emergency crews responded to a two vehicle accident at Highway 95 and Newberry Drive.
The investigation revealed that an 87-year-old Bullhead City man driving a Toyota Camry turned left onto northbound Highway 95 from Newberry Drive in front of a Dodge pickup truck that was headed southbound. The T-bone collision caused that Toyota Camry to leave the roadway down an embankment.
The 87-year-old male driver was extricated from the Toyota Camry by Bullhead City Fire paramedics. He was airlifted from the scene to a Las Vegas hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported. The highway was shut down for approximately 45 minutes and traffic was rerouted.
The name of the deceased will not be released until next of kin has been notified. The accident is still under investigation.
