On February 17, 2015, at approximately 7:45 p.m., detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department Special Investigations Bureau, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), arrested two people on drug related charges, at a residence in the 2100 block of Palo Verde Boulevard South. Detectives conducted a knock and talk, related to information they had received of potential illegal activity, and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the residence. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence that resulted in the seizure of 89 marijuana plants and five pounds of marijuana. Also seized from the residence was $7,573.00 in cash, numerous items associated with marijuana cultivation, 2008 Nissan Sentra, and a 2003 Nissan Xterra. Arrested were 53-year old Arthur Ramirez and 53-year old Sheri Ramirez. Arthur and Sheri were charged with production of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Arthur and Sheri are both residents of Lake Havasu City. Arthur was held on a $100,000 cash only bond, while Sheri was held on a $75,000 cash only bond at their initial appearances. Both were transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
