hansen, troy 8-22-14On August 22, 2014 at approximately 6:35 a.m. detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team MAGNET), Street Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigations Bureau served a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Martinique Dr.  The search warrant came as a result of an ongoing investigation. Upon the initial entry by detectives, resident Troy Hansen was encountered near the front entryway and he immediately began struggling with officers and resisted arrest.  A Taser device was deployed on Hansen and he was taken into custody.  During the search detectives located and seized approximately 7 grams of heroin (with an approximate street value of $1,400) and .9 grams of methamphetamine (with an approximate street value of $100).  Also seized during the search warrant were 3 rifles, 5 handguns, a Toyota racing motor, a Honda CR125 motorcycle, a 2005 Nissan Titan pickup, and approximately $400 cash. Arrested during the investigation were 53-year old Troy Hansen and 55-year old Mary Hansen, both Lake Havasu City residents. Troy Hansen was charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, misconduct involving weapons, and resisting arrest.  Mary Hansen was charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The Hansen’s were taken to the Lake Havasu City Police Department Jail where they will be held pending their initial appearances.  Public Information Officer: Sergeant Troy Stirling 928-855-1171
