Two Pets Perish In House Fire

Two family pets have perished in a Phoenix house fire.  Captain Benjamin Santillan with the Phoenix Fire Department says two dogs died in a townhouse fire off Thomas and 37th Street.  The owners came home and found the garage
 

filled with smoke and a glow of fire.  Crews found a pug and a lab not breathing and immediately performed resuscitation efforts.  However, the dogs did not respond and were pronounced dead.  The owners have been displaced and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
