Arizona’s latest wrong way driver crash puts two motorists in the hospital. Bart Graves with D-P-S says around 12:30 Monday morning, the driver got onto Interstate 17 northbound at Bell Road, heading south. About a mile down at the Greenway exit, the suspect’s car went head on into the

victim’s northbound car, which was in the far left lane.

The suspect, a 38 year old woman, and the victim, an 18 year old male are in stable condition, and both are expected to survive their injuries. Graves says impairment is suspected on the woman’s part, and she is expected to be arrested once she’s out of the hospital.

Graves says, the best way to avoid collisions with wrong way drivers is to keep in the center freeway lanes. That positions you better  to move either to the right or left  to dodge the errant vehicle.
