Tyler William PriceMohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tyrel William Price, 28, of Kingman, early Sunday (5/31) evening for unlawful flight from law enforcement, a probation violation warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court, felonies, along with four failure to appear warrants issued by Kingman Municipal Court, a failure to pay fines warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and two probation violation warrants issued by Kingman Municipal Court. At about 3:00 p.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black SUV for speeding, but the vehicle continued without stopping.  Deputies followed the vehicle from afar, approximately 3 blocks behind the vehicle.  Shortly thereafter, deputies located the vehicle unoccupied with the driver’s door opened at the east side of Van Nuys Road north of Hearne Avenue.  Deputies described the male driver as having a short hair buzzed cut with blonde hair.  A passerby said a male subject wearing jeans and a black shirt ran east on Hearne Avenue.  A perimeter was setup in the area.  A search of the vehicle revealed 9mm, .45 caliber and .762mm ammunition and a birth certificate for Price.  A records check showed Price to have numerous warrants.  A K9 Handler responded and deployed his K9 named Ecko down an alleyway from Van Nuys where Ecko picked up a track.  While on the track, deputies located a discarded 9mm pistol.  Ecko tracked to the rear property of a residence in the 2100 block of Devlin Avenue.  Ecko then directed to another yard of an abandoned residence a few houses away.  Deputies observed the door of the residence had been barricaded with a refrigerator and some of the flooring was missing.  Before deploying Ecko, numerous K9 announcements were made by the K9 Handler without any responses.  Ecko was deployed underneath the trailer.  Ecko located and bit Price.  Price was taken into custody without further incident.  River medical responded and Price refused medical attention.  Deputies informed Price that he would be treated for the bite wounds.  Price was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he was treated and medically released.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  Additional charges are pending the DNA results of the 9mm pistol.
