John Wesley Eaton, 31, of Kingman, was arrested by Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies on Friday, June 26 on suspicion for unlawful flight from law enforcement, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.
Around 2:20 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot at the corner of Benton Street and Northern Avenue. Deputies contacted Eaton the driver. Deputies observed Eaton was sweating extremely which was dripping from his forehead and nose. Deputies observed Eaton was panicking and yelling. Deputies stepped away from the vehicle after Eaton put the car into gear and sped away. By the time deputies caught up with Eaton, he slowed down to about 30 miles per hour. Deputies continued following the vehicle.
A short time later, Eaton pulled into a driveway in the 3500 block of Quail Lane where he was taken into custody without further incident. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.
He was taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
