Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Linda Rae Barlow, 60, of Colorado City, Friday (1/9) evening for unlawful flight from law enforcement, felony, along with resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license, misdemeanors. Approximately 8:25 p.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area Harker and Richard, but the vehicle continued traveling without stopping. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle pulled into a driveway of a residence in the 300 block of Homestead Street. Deputies observed the female driver exit the vehicle and started running toward the back of the house. Deputies exited their patrol vehicle and ordered the female subject to stop and she replied “No”. Deputies caught up with the woman, later identified as Barlow, as she entered the back door of the residence. Deputies struggled with Barlow as she attempted to slam the door on the deputy. Barlow was taken into custody after she struggled. Deputies smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Barlow. A Colorado City Marshal responded and assisted. Deputies located an open alcoholic beverage inside Barlow’s vehicle. During conversations with Barlow, she admitted to have been drinking wine and beer. A records check showed Barlow’s driver’s license was suspended. A blood sample was taken from Barlow to be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for further analysis. She was transported and booked into the Mesquite Jail without further incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene. DUI charges are pending the blood results.
