There is a female Pit Bull, approximately 4 or 5 years old with a litter of 11 nursing puppies, approximately 3 and a half weeks old, at the Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare Facility on Trane Rd. Mother is very protective of her puppies. Their holding time is up and they become officially “At Risk” this Thursday, June 25. If you are looking for a new pet, please visit the shelter and adopt the mother, one of the pups, or any other dog in the facility to help keep their numbers low so there is time for this new mother to finish nursing her pups and hopefully find them all homes. The Animal Care and Welfare Facility is located at 2270 Trane Road, Bullhead City, AZ 86442. Call them at Phone: (928) 763-6000. If you are willing to open your home as a foster, please call SAINT at 928-704-0800. This entire situation would have been avoided had the previous owners been responsible and had the mother spayed.
