The City of Bullhead City is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Bullhead Area Transit System Commission (“BATS”).
The BATS Commission makes recommendations to the Bullhead City Council regarding the development and maintenance of a public transportation system for the city. The BATS Commission meets quarterly on the first Monday of February, May, August, and November; and holds special meetings as required.
Due to a recent commissioner resignation, one seat on the BATS Commission needs to be filled as soon as possible. The partial term would begin immediately upon City Council approval and expire on September 30, 2018.
The City is also seeking two commissioners to fill seats expiring on September 30, 2017. The positions have a two-year terms effective October 1, 2017 and expiring on September 30, 2019.
To be eligible, applicants should have a general understanding of issues impacting public transportation in the community.

Appointments are made by the Bullhead City Council. The City Council will consider applications for fill the partial term at the June 20, 2017 Council meeting, and will consider applications to fill the two 2-year terms at the September 19, 2017 Council meeting. Those submitting applications are encouraged to attend these meetings.
