The Bullhead City, Mohave Valley and the Lake Havasu City Fire Departments are looking for individuals who have a desire to serve their community as a member of their Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
CERTs work together with other first responders within their community to provide assistance with emergency first aid, triage, fire suppression, rehab, search & rescue and damage assessment activities during a disaster.
Prior to becoming a volunteer emergency worker, applicants must first attend two weekend basic disaster volunteer training courses provided by Mohave County Emergency Management. The training program is free and can be attended by people who only want to better protect themselves and their families during a disaster.
Our next training will be located at the Bullhead City Fire Station # 2, 1230 Hwy 95, Bullhead City, Arizona, April 21 – 22 and April 28 – 29, 2017. Friday nights are from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
For more information please contact Mike Browning, Mohave County Emergency Management Coordinator at (928) 753-0739 or Jim Dykens, Fire Marshall with the Bullhead City Fire Department at (928) 754-2001.
