mcgillTennessee Pastor Walter “Chick” McGill, a 69 year-old Vietnam Veteran, is currently making his way to Flagstaff, carrying a large American flag and saluting every passing motorist on the walk route as a gesture of honor and respect for his fellow Americans. This national prayer-walk, the first of its kind, will go through Kingman Thursday, March 12th. The pastor is praying for our nation and each community along the way. This pedestrian journey will have spanned over 2,800 miles by the time it arrives at Kingman, and once the project is completed, McGill’s flag will be the first ever to be hand-carried “from sea to shining sea” by a veteran. Pastor McGill expects to reach his final destination, Santa Monica Pier in California, on April 29th of this year, after walking approximately 3,200 miles. Pastor McGill’s “TransAmerican Crosswalk 2014” is promoting “’a new birth of freedom’ and integrity in America, calling attention to the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule, and our nation’s founding documents.” The pastor gives officials of each city he visits a memento of the historic national prayer-walk. You may follow the progress of this cross-country adventure at
