Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Arnulfo Ruiz Delatorre, 39, of Phoenix. A Hispanic female was in the bathroom at the Luvs truck Stop, east of Kingman, and she handed another female a hand written note. The note said “Please help me. Call the Police”. The female called 911 on her cell phone. Meanwhile there was a Hispanic male subject outside the bathroom calling for the Hispanic female to come out. The male suspect left when he found out the cops were called. The female victim was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Our investigations have determined the suspect is Delatorre and is the victim’s ex-boyfriend. Saturday (3/14) morning, at about 5:30 a.m., in the Phoenix area Delatorre forced the victim to get into her vehicle with him by threatening her with a knife. He then drove her to his residence in Phoenix where he sexually assaulted her. Delatorre forced the victim to get back in the car and told her they were going to Las Vegas. The victim tried to escape somewhere in Yavapai County but was unsuccessful. During their travels, they ran out of gas on Interstate 40 at mile post 69, approximately 20 miles east of Kingman. Delatorre and the victim got a ride from a truck driver to the Luvs Truck Stop. Delatorre threatened the victim that if she called the cops he would return to Phoenix and kill her kids and grandkids. Delatorre broke the victim’s phone. While the victim was in the women’s restroom she wrote a note on a small piece of paper and handed it to another female in the bathroom. The vehicle was located and towed from the scene. Delatorre is outstanding. The Phoenix Police Department has been contacted and they made contact with the victim’s children and grandchildren. An ATL (Attempt to Locate) has been issued for Delatorre. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Delatorre is asked to contact Mohave
County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 753-0753 or Silent Witness at (928) 753-1234.
