Victoria Schopp, 34, of Mohave Valley, was arrested by Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies on June 22 for an outstanding warrant.

About 11:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of King and Kingsley Street regarding a suspicious. Dispatch advised that workers in the area said that they observed a young boy between the ages of 7-10 walking around by himself. The workers further said that they asked if he wanted a ride home and he acted very strange.

Upon arrival, deputies located many vehicles in front of a residence in the 600 block of King Street. Deputies learned this residence is where the young boy lived. Deputies contacted the juvenile’s mother, identified as Schopp.

Schopp said that her son was okay he was worried about accepting rides from strangers. A records check showed Schopp to have a felony warrant for fraudulent schemes issued by Mohave County Superior Court.

Schopp was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
