Jack Daniels McEwen, 39, a transient, was arrested by Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday, June 24 for a felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court for misconduct involving weapons, along with possession of open container in vehicle, trespassing and two failure to pay fines warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court, misdemeanors.
Around 8:50 p.m., deputies observed McEwen driving a truck without a license plate. Deputies contacted McEwen when he stopped in front of a residence in the 2500 block of Suffock Avenue and he proceeded to walk through the front gate. Deputies observed a beer bottle near McEwen. McEwen advised the beer had spilled all over him in the truck. McEwen was taken into custody without incident.
A records check showed McEwen to have outstanding warrants. Deputies contacted the homeowner and she advised that she didn’t know McEwen. He was taken to the Mohave County jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
