It’s a never-ending quest for donations at food banks across Arizona. But, in what’s become an annual tradition, Wells Fargo is stepping forward to help food banks state-wide keep their shelves stocked with goods during the difficult summer months.
Jerry Brown with St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix says summer is especially hard on the needy since it’s the time of year with higher utility bills taking more money away on what would be spent on food. He adds, so many are more fixated with summer vacation plans than on making donations, leaving already food insecure homes in a more dangerous situation.
The Wells Fargo drive has made a critical difference in feeding people during the critical summer months. If you’d like to donate, do so online at your local food bank website or stop by any Wells Fargo community bank. Some in-supermarket locations also have a drop-off box. The drive runs from June 9th to the 28th.
