A woman narrowly escapes with her life after being rescued from her burning apartment.  Spokesman Gilbert Mancilla with the Glendale Fire Department says a woman who was trapped inside her fiery building overnight was reportedly rescued by her neighbor who heard her screams.  The neighbor pulled the

woman from the balcony to safety before firefighters arrived.  Mancilla says the woman suffered second and third degree burns after the fire “consumed a lot of her body.”  The victim was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  Mancilla says it’s unclear whether the woman had a working smoke detector.
